About Salento Trekking

Diego Garavito is a professional cyclist who has kept his work as an athlete along with his personal development. He has participated in the 2000 Olympic Games and was champion of the Pan-American mountain bike games. Everything he learnt cycling was put into practice attaching his experience in the Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados, since his training consisted in climbing for 15 to 30 days for a period of 17 years, in order to work in his aerobic and anaerobic capacity.

Due to this he fell in love with the mountains and now he wants that experience to be reflected in those people who want to climb the snowed mountains with SALENTO TREKKING, which was born four years ago to raise awareness of the importance and value that the high mountain requires, since many people have not given enough respect.

SALENTO TREKKING opened the doors in November of 2014 for foreigners who want to know this part of Colombia, one of the most beautiful places where respect and responsibility should prevail. This is the reason why the company works with local staff who knows and loves a region they have known throughout their lives.

Private transportation service:
We have a van available to transport you to and from many places within the Eje Cafetero. We can also transport you from Salento to anywhere in Colombia.
